Brutal Attack On Actor Jeetu Verma In Chittorgarh! He Could Lose One Eye!

Violence has become very common these days; without any reason, a particular person is targeted and hit like crazy. It seems Rajasthan has become a very unsafe region now. We had reported about Sanjay Leela Bhansali being attacked on the sets of Padmavati, remember? Something similar happened with Jeetu Verma too; he was brutally attacked in Chittorgarh and now, he’s almost on the verge of losing sight in one eye. If you don’t know, let us tell you that Jeetu owns many horses and offers training for riding sequences in movies.

Jeetu, who has played side roles in movies such as Soldier and Bodyguard, had no clue that he’ll be attacked in such a manner.

Reports say that Jeetu was traveling to Mount Abu when this incident happened; when the car reached Chittorgarh’s forest area (40 km stretch), some unidentified people pelted stones.

Manohar Verma, his brother, said that it was daytime when this stone pelting took place. Jeetu was on the front seat and although the driver increased the car’s speed, there was no end to the pelting. The windshield of that car was cracked and the stone directly hit Jeetu’s right eye, thereby causing heavy bleeding.

The driver immediately carried him out of the car and took him to a toll booth; it was surprising to know that police officials were investigating 2 similar attacks that took place in the same area. Without delaying even a bit, Jeetu was flown to Mumbai from Udaipur airport.

During investigation, the police officials recovered those stones from the car, but unfortunately, they couldn’t make out why it all happened.

Suniel Shetty, who happens to be a close friend of Jeetu, made arrangements for his hospitalization in Wadala, as soon as he landed in Mumbai. Dr. S Natarajan who operated Jeetu said that his eyebrow was fractured and would need 10 stitches; not only this, even the retina in 1 eye is damaged, which could further lead to permanent blindness.

We wish Jeetu a speedy recovery and seriously hope that such incidents don’t occur in future. Rajasthan government should arrange for strict security, so that travelers aren’t prone to such occurrences.
