Kapil Sharma who recently celebrated his 36th birthday is currently in the news not for his comedy but for his fight with Sunil Grover. He was under the influence of alcohol when he misbehaved with his co-stars while returning from Australia to Mumbai.
Well, this is not the first time that the actor has been in the news. There are few more controversies that have kept the comic actor in the news. Just have a look.
1. Misbehaved with actress
It was reported that Kapil Sharma was accused of misbehaving with his female co-stars during an event celebrating International Marathi Film Festival Awards 2015. He allegedly behaved inappropriately with Monali Thakur, Tanishaa Mukherjee and other female stars. It was also being said that Kapil’s ex-girlfriend Preeti Simoes also got hurt by her misbehavior and left the event in the mid.
2. Ugly fight with Colors channel
Kapil Sharma courted controversy once more when his flagship show Comedy Nights with Kapil aired its last episode on the television channel Colors after a successful stint of two-and-a-half years. Colors went on record to say that Kapil was asking for more money and had violated a few clauses in the contract by hosting shows on rival channels. However, Kapil maintained that he had quit the channel because another show with the same concept had been launched on the same channel which would affect the popularity of his show.
3. Spat with Sunil Grover
Kapil Sharma grabbed headlines once again when Gutthi aka Sunil Grover decided to leave Comedy Nights With Kapil. The latter did so because he wanted a hike but the production house and the concerned channel rejected his proposal. As a result, Sunil walked out of CNWK and started his own comedy show Mad In India with Manish Paul. While this episode shocked many, Grover was back on CNWK after few months.
4. Kapil’s remarks on pregnant women
We have to agree that the versatile comedian renowned for his spontaneity and quick-wittedness sometimes goes over the board with his words. He once remarked that the potholes in India are such that they can make a pregnant woman deliver, and invited unwanted attention of an NGO that went to the extent of lodging a complaint against him in the Maharashtra State Commission For Women.
